About

12Hi, I’m Samantha. I’ve worked in the communications field since earning a master’s degree in journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism. Since then, I’ve crafted successful brochures, newsletters, web copy, and other marketing copy for companies across the country and have also written thousands of articles for a range of publications.

My first foray into professional writing was in the world of daily newspapers, including The Charlotte (N.C.) Observer. I have also worked as communications director for a national company providing mortgage fraud solutions and as the editor of USF Magazine, the alumni publication of the University of San Francisco. While editor, I helped lead a complete redesign of the magazine, overseeing not only the process of changing the look of the magazine, but also the re-thinking of each section and the magazine’s overall content. The result was an award-winning redesign that sparked an ongoing dialogue with readers.

These days, I draw on my experience to write clear, concise marketing copy for companies and organizations of all sizes. I also write articles for publications looking for a reliable, competent writer who will produce well-researched articles on deadline.

I’m based on California’s Central Coast, and happily work with clients across the country.
